Dr. Magdalen Cheng is a therapist, writer, and the founder of Encompassing Therapy and Counselling. As a mother herself to a young child, she holds a special passion for supporting parents, particularly mothers navigating the complex dance between career and family, through life’s transitions and existential questions.
Her approach is rooted in existential therapy, a collaborative practice that views you as the ultimate expert of your own life. Dr. Magdalen empowers clients to become agents of their own stories, cultivating a sense of freedom with responsibility. She is especially focused on how we can communicate more openly, intimately, and courageously, learning to take the risk of asking for what we need from our partners, families, and communities.
Inspired by her work with doulas, she advocates for intentional choice in support systems, even authoring an ebook on how to choose the right therapist. Beyond individual therapy, she runs dedicated process groups designed to be a practice ground for these very skills: building the inner resources to have honest, courageous conversations and reclaim a sense of purpose and control in personal and professional life

Dr. Gopalakrishnakone is highly experienced in natural childbirth, caesarean sections, and gynaecological surgeries, including hysterectomies, myomectomies, and laparoscopy. She holds a keen interest in non-invasive hysteroscopic surgeries and performs intrauterine inseminations for fertility management.
She holds a Bachelor’s in Medicine and Surgery and a Master’s in Obstetrics and Gynaecology from the National University of Singapore (NUS). Additionally, she is a Member of the Royal College of Obstetricians and Gynaecologists (UK). Formerly the Chief Registrar at National University Hospital (2011), she served as a clinical teacher and examiner at the Yong Loo Lin School of Medicine.
An avid orator, Dr. Gopalakrishnakone regularly presents at international conferences. Notably, she won first prize for oral presentation at the 2011 Singapore International Congress on Obstetrics and Gynaecology. A pro-life advocate, she has also published research on Chlamydia Trachomatis.

Alsen Chanamuto is the Schools Engagement Manager at the Centre for Fathering, where he turns his personal dedication to active parenting into a professional calling. A former school teacher, Alsen advocates for breaking traditional gender roles, encouraging fathers to be present in schools and deeply involved at home.
As a father of three in an interracial marriage, Alsen navigates the complexities of modern parenting through unity and open communication. He champions the importance of hands-on involvement, citing his own positive experiences with Government-Paid Paternity Leave as crucial for supporting his wife and bonding with his children—Gabrielle, Jonah, and Levi.
Alsen believes support systems are vital, maintaining a circle of fellow fathers to share struggles and encouragement. He integrates his love for music into family life through impromptu jam sessions, fostering connection through fun. His parenting philosophy is rooted in empathy and patience: he urges parents to forgive their own mistakes, support one another, and focus on enjoying the journey. Alsen’s story serves as a reminder that an involved father makes a lasting impact.

Abie Chow is a neonatal nurse, Senior International Board Certified Lactation Consultant (IBCLC), and parenthood educator who has supported over 15,000 newborns in hospital and community settings.
Her work advocates for support over pressure and flexibility over rigidity. Recognizing that “natural does not always come naturally,” she respects every family’s unique feeding goals. Abie is the creator of the Fun Flow Method, an evidence-based approach that rejects rigid routines. Instead, it adapts scientific evidence to real-world living, encouraging parents to simply “follow the flow” of the baby and their daily lives.
Abie is the founder of Orimory, rooted in the concept of “Original Memory”—the foundational connection built during those first precious moments. From “bump to baby,” she supports families through lactation, infant care, and weaning via personalised consultations and workshops.
Follow the flow. Honour original memories. Support every choice.
